A group of PhD Students and post-doctoral staff have shared resources with community centres and GP practices in Edinburgh about the importance of people taking part in health research projects. One of the aims of the Row Fogo Centre is engage with the public about our current research and projects. Some of these projects can be clinical trials, like our current Lacunar Intervention Trial-3, which rely on the recruitment of patients. A team of students and early career researchers (post-doctoral) from the Row Fogo Centre ventured out on a cold January to various locations across Edinburgh distributing leaflets for SHARE. SHARE is a NHS Research Scotland initiative. It has been created to establish a register of people, aged 11 years and over, interested in participating in health research. Researchers can also use this website to look for volunteers, samples and/or data for their studies. GP surgeries, outpatient clinics and community centres had leaflets delivered to share with patients and visitors, including our Row Fogo Centre booklet, which provides a brief introduction about our work. Well done to everyone involved! Row Fogo Centre Community Engagement Publication date 05 Feb, 2026
