CCBS is now recruiting a Postgraduate Administrator. Postgraduate Administrator/Liaison Officer Applications are invited for the position of Postgraduate Administrator / Liaison Officer for the Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences, University of Edinburgh. The post-holder will be responsible for the administration of recruitment, induction, monitoring and engagement of Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences (CCBS) postgraduate research students, as well as representing CCBS at the Edinburgh Neuroscience Graduate School Hub. The successful applicant will have a good level of education and prior experience in an administrative role. He or she must be highly organised, with attention to detail, good IT skills, and able to plan and prioritise tasks. As the first point of contact for students, the ideal candidate will have a positive, open attitude, and enjoy the opportunity to meet the students, problem-solve for them and enrich their experience. CCBS is a University of Edinburgh Research Centre whose primary purpose is to promote internationally competitive basic and applied research into the study of the causes, consequences and treatment of major brain disorders. The training of postgraduate research students, which includes clinical PhD students, is an important component of the Centre’s mission. Growing this vital area and ensuring the very best training experience for our students is a key purpose of this job. It will be based at Chancellor’s Building, Little France, with occasional travel to CCBS’ other sites at the Western General and Royal Edinburgh Hospitals.
