Clinical research fellow Yvonne Chun has been awarded a clinical academic fellowship from the Chief Scientist Office of Scotland. Image Well done to Dr Yvonne Chun, a clinical research fellow in CCBS and a registrar in geriatric medicine, who has been awarded a clinical academic fellowship from the Chief Scientist Office of Scotland.Yvonne's fellowship was facilitated by a Princess Margaret Research Development Fellowship, which allowed her to gather pilot data and training for a successful application.Dr Chun will spend the next three years developing a psychological intervention to treat anxiety disorders after stroke, a common but under-researched psychological consequence after stroke that impacts negatively on quality of life and stroke rehabilitation. Dr Chun will design and perform a pilot randomised controlled trial to test this intervention with the aim of enabling a larger clinical trial in the future.
