Mar 2019: Congratulations to Prof Seth Grant on being awarded this prize given in recognition of an outstanding scientific work in any area of neuroscience. Image The FENS European Journal of Neuroscience (EJN) Award is sponsored by the EJN publisher Wiley. It is awarded by a Nominating Committee consisting of the EJN Editors in chief, the Chair of the Programme Committee, the Chair of the Communication Committee and the FENS President-elect. The award carries a personal prize of £ 10,000. It will be presented to Prof Grant at the FENS Forum 2020 in Glasgow in July 2020. Seth Grant is Professor of Molecular Neuroscience in CCBS, where he leads the Synaptic Biology & Disease section. He is internationally recognised for his seminal contributions to understanding the molecular biology of brain synapses and their function in health and disease. I am honoured to receive this award, which is really a testimony to the excellent postdocs, students and technicians in my lab who have done the work.
