What is COCROACH? The Chief Investigator of SoSTART (Professor Rustam Al-Shahi Salman) coordinates the Collaboration Of Controlled Randomised trials of Oral Antithrombotic agents after intraCranial Haemorrhage (COCROACH). This collaboration is working towards a prospective individual participant data meta-analysis (IPDMA) of all randomised trials registered with a trial registry, including participants with spontaneous intracranial haemorrhage who are allocated at random to long-term use of any oral antithrombotic agent(s) or to placebo, open control, another antithrombotic agent, or another intervention for the prevention of major vascular events, and their chief investigator agrees to share participant-level de-identified data. COCROACH had its first meeting at the European Stroke Organisation Conference in Prague in May 2017. The protocol for the IPDMA is registered with PROSPERO. Who is involved? COCROACH includes the lead investigator responsible for each randomised controlled trial – known as a ‘Chief Investigator’ in the UK – as well as up to four additional investigators from each trial, members of the Trial Management Group or Trial Steering Committee for each trial, and the methodologists/statisticians involved in this IPDMA. Currently, membership includes: RESTART (ISRCTN71907627) RESTART-FR (NCT02966119) STATICH-antiplatelets/anticoagulants(NCT03186729) ASPIRING pilot phase (NCT04522102) APACHE-AF (NCT02565693) NASPAF-ICH (NCT02998905) SoSTART (NCT03153150) A3-ICH (NCT03243175) ASPIRE (NCT03907046) ENRICH-AF (NCT03950076) PRESTIGE-AF (NCT03996772) Contact Rustam.Al-Shahi@ed.ac.uk with any enquiries.
