The Associate Principal Investigator Scheme aims to develop health and care professionals to become the Principal Investigators (PIs) of the future. The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) run an Associate Principal Investigator Scheme that runs for 6 months and provides an in-work training opportunity. It provides practical experience for a health and care professionals who are starting their research career.The scheme is open to any health and care professional in the United Kingdom, including England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. If appointed, you should be willing to make a significant contribution to the conduct and delivery of a study at a local level over a period of six months.We would encourage research practitioners, including research nurses, who are working on LACI-3 at any of our sites to apply for this opportunity.
