Highlight - LACI-3 Recruitment pathway

LACI-3 has a recruitment pathway that sites use as a basis for their recruitment strategy. 

The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh team shares their best recruitment strategies below:

 In the "Life after Stroke" clinic, patients get scheduled in several weeks to a month in advance. 

In this case, we try to have their eligibility checked early enough so we can contact them, let them read the patient information sheet, and check whether we can combine their clinic visit with a LACI-3 randomisation visit. 

Then we contact the stroke consultant who is doing the clinic that day and check if we should randomise before or after their Life After Stroke appointment. 

This has worked quite well for several of our participants because it saves them from coming in again.
